2008 is a great year for fine artist Paul Butler. He is returning to Liverpool, his home city in its Capital of Culture year, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of his graduation from Liverpool School of Art.

Paul put down his brushes for a long time during his career as a salesman in the rag trade, only to rediscover his interest in art upon his retirement. Since then he has won many awards and prizes for his beautiful watercolours and pastels.

Paul's speciality is landscape painting. Whether the subject is an urban cityscape, a dramatic seascape or something more gentle and pastoral, he brings unique talent for achitectural accuracy and fine watercolour brushwork; expert skills universally recognised as difficult to master.
